The M203 Thunder Grenade ( use .43 cal balls) is the first paintball grenade built to utilize an already existing full product line of Grenade Launchers. The M203 Thunder Grenade fires up to 25 paintballs at once, but can be operated with as few as 1 paintball(s). Get within 25 feet of an opponent and let the paint fly. The M203 Thunder Grenade can operate on both CO2 and Green Gas. CO2 offers 800 PSI, while Green Gas only offers 100 PSI. For the best results, use your M203 Thunder Grenade Charger to fill each M203 Thunder Grenade with CO2.
- You will need a grenade charger to power the grenade - The new series M203 Thunder Grenade does not require a regulator
Great product but a couple things keep it from being 5 stars. Dunno if the description is for an older model but I recently purchased one and there are a couple of discrepancies. F... view moreirst off mine only functions when charged with CO2. Green gas or propane will not give it enough pressure to fire. Not a big deal since with paintball you're gonna want the extra pressure to ensure breakage. Also while yes you can fit 25 rounds into the firing tubes only 20 will fit past the detents in the grenade so the last one in each tube will roll out unless you come up with something on your own. On the topic of the detent it is basically a thin o ring that goes in a channel on the outer surface of the grenade. You can see it in the photo it's the black ring towards the end of the shell. It tries to hold paintballs in but doesn't do the best job of it. Stock detent you will have rollouts even using the MCS .43 caliber AG1 paint (highly recommend buying the MCS paint by the way) especially when shaken or put under the standard stresses of a paintball field. What I did was cut the old detent off and put two small black rubber bands in place, the ones meant to be hair ties that you can buy a 300 pack for $2 at Walgreen's. No rollouts even when shaken, but all will fire clean.
Now that the bad is out the way let's talk about the good. When this thing goes off it is friggin loud, scares anyone on the receiving end of it, and in a CQB environment will eliminate anyone in a 20 foot spread at about 30 feet. Past that the paint will lose it's ability to break but if you have this in a launcher that is attached to your primary anyone who isn't eliminated by the initial shot feel free to serve a follow up double tap. It is a building clearer's best friend. If the price is too high for you consider the 6mm shell and check the review I wrote there. view less
