I was super excited to get started on my kit. I love it and it works well as far as shooting goes. The only reason I gave it 4 stars is due to the fact that I had to remove part of... view moremy original X7 hand shroud to make it fit. Overall I am happy with it. view less
I was very excited when I saw that they made a kit for my old x7. I was looking onto getting back into paintball, and wanted to use magfed. I allready own a tipx, and I had an old ... view morex7 laying around from when I used to play. I was going to either save up to get a t15, 468, or m17. Then while I was looking into my options I found this kit. For less than 300 bucks I could set up my old gun and buy some mags and gear, and be pretty well set up. I decided to go ahead and try it out. When it arrived, I was super excited to put it together. I took my old gun apart, changed the old o-rings, and got to putting the new body together. Everything went smoothly. The build quality is pretty good. The only thing I dont like is that the mag well is a bit sloppy. The mags can be wobbled back and forth to pull out. It's not game breaking, and will work fine. Test fired it and it works great. Same old x7. Overall I love it. I can still use my response trigger, and I get to keep my mechanical gun with magfed and full auto with the response trigger. I get to use all my old gear, and I'm going to get the lok-bolt for it just in case. I haven't had a chop yet. I do recommend getting a new ball detent. Mine is worn and is causing an extra ball to shoot every once in a while, but that's any paintball gun if its worn out. I hope they produce the collapsible air in stock, as I would definitely buy it. Keep making these kits guys. They are a great option for new or returning players to get into the game at a lower cost. Thanks! Keep up the good work guys. view less

Q: 2 part question
I have an x7 phenom, and was planning on buying a Rt or electronic trigger. I see that the trigger frame for the x7 phenom is not compatible with this kit - but are the air internals compatible?
Can I buy a new trigger for an x7 classic, and use the internals of...view morethe phenom to have it work with this conversion kit?view less
A: Tornado uses x7 classic parts and Hurricane uses Phenom parts. All the accessories are compatible with the corresponding kit from the original donor model.
