The Reaper suppressor / barrel extension increases power by sustaining expanding gas pressure behind the projectile for a longer duration, allowing it to continue accelerating as it travels down the barrel.
Its larger internal bore acts as a counterbore, reducing pressure buildup in front of the projectile. By lowering this front (counter) pressure, resistance is reduced, enabling greater acceleration and increased muzzle energy.
As a projectile travels at high speed through a barrel, it effectively behaves like a piston, compressing the air ahead of it. This compressed air creates opposing pressure that can limit acceleration. The Reaper’s enlarged bore allows a controlled amount of air to bypass the projectile, relieving front pressure and allowing the projectile to accelerate more efficiently.
